Rajnikanth - Set 01
Rajinikanth (born on 12 December 1950) is the south Indian acter who created a new revolution for Indian films. His actual name is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad.
Rajinikanth struggled a lot during his early age because of his family's low income. Rajnikanth is the carpenter-turned-coolie-turned-conductor-turned Super Star.
Rajinikanth is a multi –talented person. Apart from acting he worked as screenwriter, film producer, and also a playback singer. He is very famous as Philanthropist and spiritualist. He is a follower of swamy Raghavendra.
In south Indian films, still he is the trend setter. His styles are followed by lots of his fans and some of other actors. He received India's third highest honor, the Padma Bhushan, for his contribution to Indian cinema He starred in the 1988 American film Bloodstone (Hollywood movie), which released with much fanfare in India. He also made brief stints in the Japanese and German language film industries.
His simplisity and humbleness made him to reach heights rather than other actors who acted in his same era. During breaks he hardly ever rushes to his air-conditioned makeup room. Instead, he prefers to sleep on the sets, even without a pillow, merely covering his eyes with a wet cloth. He never comes to functions with a retinue behind him and even prefers to drive his own car.
He is the highest paid actor in Indian film industry.
Rajinikanth was paid Rs. 26 crores (about 6 million US dollars) for Sivaji: The Boss, making him the highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan. The new trend where his films' collections exceed normal regional film expectations started off with Badshah, followed by Annamalai, Arunachalam, Ejaman, Muthu and Padayappa. It's now an accepted fact that only a Rajnikant film can break records set by his own films.
Rajinikanth has named as “Super star Rajinikanth” after the release of Bhairavi in 1978.
His debut film was Apoorva Raagangal (1975). His first shot itself created lots of public attracton. It's a wide angle shot. A man is seen opening a gate, dressed in rags and smoking a beedi.
He married Latha Rangachari, on 26 February 1981 and they have two daughters named Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth. Aishwarya Rajinikanth married actor Dhanush.
